Installation

  1. Firstly, estimate the number of tile spacers required for the tiling project. This can be done by simply multiplying the amount of tiles by 4. It is always best practice to have additional spacers than required.

  1. Next, place the spacers where the four corners of the tiles meet. This will evenly distribute the grout line of the tiles to the specified width.

  1. Finally, around 20-30 minutes after the adhesive has started to set, remove the tile spacers from the grout lines. It is essential to check with your chosen adhesive manufacturer to know how long the adhesive will take to set, as removing the tile spacers too early may allow the tiles to shift, and too late can lead to the tile spacers stuck in place.

Note.

  • Sometimes working conditions can be misjudged and should tile spacers be set in adhesive within the grout lines, in a vertical motion, pull them using reasonable force from the adhesive with pliers. This is advised as attempting to remove horizontally could cause the tiles to shift.
